Common questions

The marker isn’t appearing.
The camera needs to see the body part clearly: good light, the area filling a comfortable portion of the frame, and for hand points, the back or palm of the hand facing the camera as the on-screen coaching asks. If the app can’t track confidently, it hides the marker rather than guessing — that’s deliberate.
Why do some points show a glow instead of a dot, or no marker at all?
That’s AcuSight’s honesty system. A dot appears only where tracking is at its best (hands, face). A soft glow marks places where the honest margin is wider — press within it and feel for the tender spot. Points labeled “Guide” get no on-camera marker at all, because a camera can’t honestly track them; you get written steps instead.
Does AcuSight work without the camera?
Every point can run as a guided, camera-free session with written steps, the press rhythm, haptics, and voice. Points labeled “Guide” always work this way.
Where is my data?
On your iPhone, and nowhere else. AcuSight makes no network connections — no accounts, no analytics, no tracking. See the privacy policy. You can erase everything under Settings → Delete all local data.
Is AcuSight medical advice?
No. AcuSight is for relaxation and learning about the tradition of acupressure. It isn’t medical advice, and it doesn’t diagnose or treat anything. Be gentle with yourself, stop if anything hurts, and talk to a healthcare professional about any health concern.

Email us. Because the app sends us nothing automatically, we only learn about problems when people tell us — reports genuinely help.
